ACCREDITATION
WORKING WITH CHILDEREN CHECKS (WWCC)
The New South Wales Rugby League Ltd (NSWRL) Child Protection Policy (see NSWRL Junior Rugby League Policies & Procedures Manual, in Policy & Guidelines section) requires that from 31 March 2016, all Junior Rugby League clubs affiliated with the NSWRL must only ‘employ’ workers (paid or voluntary) involved directly with the children’s’ teams if the worker has a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or has applied for one.
As a volunteer (this includes committee members and team officials) the WWCC is free; you will require successful clearance before you can take up any duties with the club. Your WWC number lasts for 5 years before it needs to be renewed.
