Last year, with our kids in lock down, Asquith Magpies introduced an online training program for all of our Asquith Magpies kids.
Jake Trbojevic (Professional Rugby League footballer who plays for Manly Warringah Sea Eagles) and David Nofoaluma (Professional Rugby League footballer who plays for West Tigers) ran the online training program and were very beneficial for all that participated in it.
2021 we’ve enlisted Tonu Liinand from Tonu Fitness. Tonu is Jordan Thompson (Australian professional tennis player, ranked world number 43) personal high performance trainer and our was the personal trainer of our very own Asquith Magpies junior Billy Pollard who has joined the full-time professional ranks playing for the Brumbies.
Tonu has put together a great training program for our under 10s and up. The training will focus on speed endurance and core strength
Our great mate, former Asquith Magpies junior, Kieran Foran (Professional Rugby League footballer who plays for Manly Warringah Sea Eagles) will be dropping in to assist with the skills training, we can’t wait to see the results.
Additionally we’ve put together a training program for our new and returning players in the mini age groups 4 to 9 which will focus on fitness while having fun. The training program will focus on practicing the basics of the great game.
As a club we aim to develop our children’s abilities physically and mentally in a fun and safe environment. Making better people not just football players.
We will be introducing new and innovative ways to continue to help them grow
